Tidak ada yang lebih seksi bagi seorang cowok melainkan cewek yang menghargai apapun yang pria berikan kepadanya. Terkadang dengan memberi, cowok merasa menjadi lebih “lelaki”. Berhubung cowok suka memberi, seringkali cowok tidak tahu apa yang dibutuhkan oleh cewek. Hal inilah yang sering memicu kesalahpahaman. Seringkali cewek memberitahukan keinginannya dengan cara yang salah.
Sebagai contoh adalah ketika cowok datang terlambat saat apel di malam minggu. Seharusnya cewek tidak perlu menggerutu dan mengejar alasan kenapa cowok terlambat. Daripada mengungkit kesalahan dan menyentuh harga diri cowok, ada baiknya jika cewek mengatakan “aku sangat senang kamu datang dengan selamat, tapi aku lebih bahagia jika kamu tidak terlambat karena itu artinya kita punya lebih banyak waktu berduaan.” Nah lho, dijamin cowok akan meleleh seperti es krim dan berusaha tepat waktu minggu depannya.
Demikian juga berlaku untuk cowok kepada cewek. Intinya adalah jika pasangan kita tidak berlaku sesuai dengan keinginan, strategi terbaik adalah mengatakan apa yang kita inginkan, bukan menegaskan apa yang tidak kita inginkan atau bahkan menunjukkan kegagalannya memberikan apa yang kita mau. Seseorang yang mencintai kita selalu ingin membuat kita bahagia. Semakin besar penghargaan kita kepada pasangan, semakin besar usahanya memenuhi apa yang kita inginkan.
Kesalahan terbesar cowok adalah berpikir bahwa cewek memiliki cara pandang yang sama dengannya, demikian juga sebaliknya. Paling tidak seperti inilah gambaran paradigma pemikiran cowok dan cewek pada umumnya. Jika anda atau orang di dekat anda tidak termasuk di dalamnya, bukan berarti pemikiran saya ini salah sepenuhnya. Konsep ini terlihat sepele, namum seringkali diabaikan.
