Berita Menjelang Hari Kemerdekaan Indonesia ke-68
Hari ini adalah hari kemerdekaan Indonesia, negara kita tercinta. Tak terasa sudah 68 tahun negara ini merdeka. Meskipun belum maksimal, namun secara fisik kita tidak lagi diperintah oleh bayang-bayang orang asing.
Saya membayangkan, di waktu yang sama dengan saat ini, 00:45 tepat 68 tahun yang lalu. Para pemuda yang mengetahui bahwa besok akan diselenggarakan proklamasi, pasti tidak akan bisa tidur. Dalam hati dan pikiran mereka dihinggapi kegembiraan yang besar bahwa cita-cita sejak tahun 1908 akhirnya sudah di depan mata. Kembali ke masa kini, inilah yang terjadi beberapa saat lalu menjelang HUT Kemerdekaan RI yang ke-68.

Diatas adalah Google doodle untuk hari ini. Google memang sering mengganti logo halaman depannya menyesuaikan event yang sedang berlangsung di hari tertentu. Khusus hari ini, Google Indonesia (google.co.id) mengubah doodle menjadi hari kemerdekaan Indonesia 2013. Gambar diatas saya akses pada pukul 00.15 waktu Indonesia bagian barat.
Penembakan di Tangerang, 2 polisi tewas
Berita menyedihkan datang dari Tangerang, Banten sebelum tengah malam tadi. Dua polisi yang sedang patroli di malam hari kemerdekaan Indonesia, ditembak oleh orang yang tak dikenal hingga tewas. Penembakan pertama dilakukan kepada dua orang anggota polisi bersepeda motor. Aiptu Kus Hendratna tewas dengan luka tembak di kepala.
Di belakang keduanya, ada beberapa anggota polres Pondok Aren yang juga sedang berpatroli menggunakan mobil. Mereka lalu mengejar si penembak dan berhasil menabrak motor si penembak. Pelaku jatuh, namun bisa bangkit dan menembak sopir mobil yakni Bripka Maulana hingga tewas. Pelaku kabur setelah sebelumnya terlibat baku tembak dengan anggota polisi yang lain.
Kejadian ini bukan pertama kalinya, sudah ada dua polisi yang lain tewas di satu daerah yang sama. Hal ini tentu mengusik rasa aman masyarakat. Jika polisi saja menjadi target, bagaimana masyarakat umum bisa merasa aman. Di negara kita yang sudah merdeka ini, tentu saja hal semacam ini tidak dibenarkan. Polisi harus bisa mengusut tuntas kejadian ini dan mengembalikan kepercayaan masyarakat kepada institusi ini.
Bendera partai lebih dominan daripada merah putih
Di Jawa Timur akan menggelar pilkada. Minggu ini sedang dalam masa kampanye. Ada pemandangan yang menyedihkan di wilayah tersebut, yakni dimana bendera merah putih kalah dominan dengan bendera partai. Hal ini diungkap oleh Bambang Harjo, seorang pengusaha dan tokoh masyarakat Jawa Timur. Beliau memandang bahwa kejadian ini akibat lunturnya rasa nasionalisme.

Sangat benar sekali bahwa untuk mencapai kemerdekaan ini, para pendiri bangsa kita mengesampingkan perbedaan golongan dan asal usul mereka. Kesalahan bangsa ini selama 350 tahun tidak berhasil adalah karena terpecah belah. Jika kita sekarang ini terpecah belah, maka sama saja kita telah mundur 350 tahun ke belakang. Ngomong-ngomong, apa yang anda lakukan saat hari kemerdekaan Indonesia nanti?
