Aktivis Mahasiswa Itu Sebaiknya Menjadi PNS
Definisi aktivis menurut Badan Pengembangan dan Pembinaan Bahasa Kemendikbud adalah orang yang giat dan semangat bekerja bagi kepentingan organisasi politik atau organisasi massa lain. Aktivis mengabdikan tenaga dan pikirannya, tidak jarang mengorbankan harta benda untuk mewujudkan ideologinya.
Bukan ini yang membawa perubahan pelayanan, tapi cantiknya boleh juga. © ceriwis.com
Dari definisi diatas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa aktivis itu adalah pekerja keras, disiplin dan berorientasi pada kepentingan orang banyak. Kepuasannya tidak berdasarkan pencapaian pribadi, tetapi berdasarkan pencapaian kolektif. Aktivis mehasiswa adalah salah satunya, maka saya berpendapat aktivis mahasiswa sebaiknya menjadi PNS setelah lulus.
Kenapa aktivis mahasiswa harus jadi PNS?
Aktivis mahasiswa adalah mereka yang memiliki idealisme. Prinsip mereka kuat dan jiwa mereka tangguh. Pendirian mereka tidak mudah goyah hanya karena hal-hal tertentu. Aktivis mahasiswa juga memiliki sifat kritis. Terkadang apa yang tidak kita pikirkan, bisa terpikir oleh mereka. Karakter inilah yang membuat mereka sebenarnya cocok menjadi PNS setelah lulus kuliah.
Mahasiswa adalah orang yang terdidik, kritis dan tanggap sehingga bisa membawa iklim yang baik bagi pelayanan publik di Indonesia. Bahkan bisa dikatakan, negeri utopia yang diidamkan oleh semua orang akan terwujud. Apa alasannya?
#1. Aktivis mahasiswa itu berdedikasi tinggi
Sudah terlalu banyak PNS di negeri kita yang bekerja asal-asalan, kurang melayani dan tidak berprinsip. Mereka mau menerima suap, melakukan suap, menarik pungli dan semacamnya. Saya yakin aktivis mahasiswa yang berpendirian teguh tentu tak akan melakukan hal tercela seperti ini. Tekanan atasan tidak akan mempengaruhi pendirian mereka. Tidak akan ada lagi perjalanan dinas fiktif, kongkalikong tender atau pungutan tak resmi untuk mengurus perijinan. Semua pasti akan sesuai dengan kaidah kegunaan dan manfaat bagi orang banyak. Penyelewengan anggaran? Say goodbye, babe!
#2. Aktivis mahasiswa itu rajin bekerja
Aktivis mahasiswa adalah orang yang rajin, disiplin dan tangguh. Bayangkan saja, mereka bisa melakukan demonstrasi dari pagi hingga sore hari dalam keadaan berpanas ria, stres tinggi, menghadapi aparat keamanan. Belum lagi malam harinya mereka biasa menginap di base camp untuk menyiapkan demonstrasi tersebut.
Jadi apalah artinya jika hanya bekerja di ruangan ber-AC dari pukul 07.00 hingga pukul 17.00 sebagai PNS? Apalah artinya mengurus surat-surat administrasi demi kepentingan warga masyarakat itu? Dengan fasilitas dan wewenang yang mereka miliki sebagai PNS, tentu lebih mudah mencari solusi bagi rakyat, kan? Saya yakin mereka akan cekatan dan berkecepatan tinggi dalam bekerja. Tidak akan ada lagi PNS yang bolos dan tenggo.
#3. Aktivis mahasiswa sebagai agen perubahan nyata
Perubahan seringkali hanya bisa dilakukan oleh orang-orang yang berwenang. Dengan menjadi PNS, maka kesempatan membuat perubahan nyata semakin besar. Banyak jabatan penting di pemerintahan yang hanya boleh dijabat oleh PNS seperti kepala SKPD/Dinas dan Sekretaris Daerah. Peran penting jabatan ini dalam memajukan suatu daerah sangat besar.
Selain itu, korup atau tidaknya suatu SKPD juga ditentukan oleh kepala atau pimpinannya. Maka dari itu jika aktivis mahasiswa menjadi PNS, maka mereka memiliki kesempatan untuk menjadi perangkat daerah. Kesempatan membuat perubahan menjadi terbuka lebar. Bayangkan jika kepala SKPD adalah orang-orang idealis penegak kebenaran, maka rakyat yang untung. Lagipula, membantu rakyat adalah tujuan utama para aktivis mahasiswa bergerak, kan?

Diatas hanyalah tiga alasan diantara sekian banyak alasan kenapa aktivis mahasiswa seharusnya menjadi PNS setelah mereka lulus nanti. Menurut saya dengan memasuki sistem, aktivis mahasiswa dapat melanjutkan perjuangannya, mengabdi bagi kepentingan masyarakat, bangsa dan negara. Nah, bagaimana dengan pendapat anda?

Yang aku rasakan malah beda kak. Temen2 aktivis sekarang malah lebih suka demo dari pada kuliah. Padahal syarat PNS IPK 3.00. Cuma kalau aktivis waras boleh lah 😀
