Saya memiliki keyakinan bahwa dengan melihat berita di televisi, para ibu yang memiliki anak usia sekolah akan mengalami olahraga jantung. Kekhawatiran itu sangat beralasan karena seringnya kasus pedofilia dilakukan oleh orang-orang terdekat anak bahkan oleh mereka yang seharusnya melindungi. Hal ini menyebabkan ibu-ibu paranoid terhadap orang lain, bahkan terhadap teman main anaknya sendiri.
Keyakinan saya ini seolah terjawab saat secara tidak sengaja membicarakan topik ini dengan seorang ibu. Beliau adalah klien saya untuk project pembuatan website perusahaan miliknya. Beliau yang juga dosen di salah satu PTN di Jogja mengungkapkan kekhawatiran yang persis sama dengan apa yang saya ungkapkan di paragraf sebelumnya. Bahkan lebih ekstrimnya lagi, beliau memeriksa sekolah anaknya untuk mengetahui tempat-tempat yang mungkin saja bisa merugikan putranya.

Saya memiliki seorang teman yang merupakan penyayang anak. Sebelum berita kasus ini merebak dan menimbulkan histeria massa di kalangan ibu-ibu, dia memang suka bermain dengan anak-anak. Ini dikarenakan dia adalah anak tunggal dari keluarga yang kecil. Dia tidak memiliki keponakan ataupun sepupu. Namun sejak berita pedofilia merebak, ia mengurangi kontaknya dengan anak-anak, meskipun terus memberikan bantuan seperti beasiswa atau mainan kepada anak asuhnya.

Sejak saya kecil, para pedagang yang berjualan di area sekolah, terutama mainan, selalu dekat dengan anak-anak. Hal ini merupakan strategi mereka untuk mengambil hati anak-anak supaya menghabiskan uang sakunya untuk membeli dagangan mereka. Dengan merebaknya kasus pedofilia ini, bisa jadi anak-anak tidak mau lagi berdekatan dengan penjual mainan karena dilarang oleh ibu mereka.
Saya memang belum mendapatkan bukti akurat untuk yang ketiga ini. Namun mengingat bagian yang pertama tentang ibu-bu paranoid dan juga adanya kasus penjual mainan yang melakukan sodomi terhadap 27 bocah di Cilacap, bisa dipastikan para penjual mainan akan terdampak. Meskipun mungkin tidak di semua tempat, namun pasti ada satu atau dua orang.
Untuk pelaku sodomi dan pedofilia, bertaubatlah. Apa yang kalian lakukan membuat hidup banyak orang susah. Belum lagi potensi korban menjadi pelaku di kemudian hari akan menambah dosa kalian. Ada norma dan aturan yang berlaku di negara kita tercinta ini. Kembalilah ke jalan yang benar, carilah bantuan dari orang-orang terdekat jika tidak bisa melakukannya sendirian.
