Kurangnya Kalkulasi Resiko Pada Tindakan Remaja
Otak manusia juga merupakan bagian organ yang terus berkembang dan berperan dalam perubahan manusia. Tubuh manusia, terutama otak, mengalami perubahan besar dan seringkali menjadi tampak aneh selama masa remaja.
Balap liar, salah satu kegiatan yang tidak dikalkukasi resikonya dengan baik.
Remaja memang bukanlah usia yang tepat untuk mengkalkulasi resiko. Ketika masa remaja, setiap otak membuat perhitungan yang dipengaruhi oleh sistem yang merupakan proses dari mencoba untuk meningkatkan diri menuju kedewasaan. Tindakan remaja seringkali menurut kita, orang yang sudah dewasa adalah suatu hal yang tak berguna, membuang waktu, berbahaya dan lain sebagainya.
Sebenarnya ini adalah tidak murni kesalahan mereka. “Kebodohan” pada otak remaja ini mendesain tindakan remaja melakukan apa yang dianggap oleh orang dewasa sebagai “tidak berguna”. Katakanlah seperti tawuran, balap liar dan lain sebagainya. Para remaja ini sebenarnya tahu bahwa jika mereka melakukan “kegiatan” tersebut resikonya adalah menginap di UGD, bahkan kamar mayat lalu berakhir di kuburan.
Orang yang lebih dewasa menganggap bahwa resiko ini tidak dapat diterima, sedangkan remaja justru mengesampingkan hal ini dan menitikberatkan pada hal positif yang mungkin diterimanya, seperti pujian dari kawan atau cewek. Otak remaja terbangun sedemikian rupa untuk menekankan bahwa membuat orang lain terkesan itu sangat penting. Lalu jika dikombinasikan dengan sensasi pengambilan resiko, otak akan dibanjiri dengan kegembiraan yang membuai mereka. Meskipun secara umum ini baik bagi keberlangsungan umat manusia, jika diarahkan dengan benar, jika dibandingkan dengan anak-anak yang tidak pernah keluar rumah dan melihat dunia luar yang kejam.
Sebenarnya itu bukan sisi buruk remaja, justru itulah yang membuat masa remaja menjadi luar biasa.Sebagian orang dengan masa remaja bahagia
Sebelum anda ikut mengatakan hal diatas, kami memberitahu kepada anda bahwa mekanisme otak remaja seperti itu dapat mendorong ke arah penyakit mental dan kecanduan. Mereka tahu bahwa remaja itu labil dan “tidak aman” secara alami dan mempekerjakan para ahli periklanan untuk mengeksploitasi proses pencarian jati diri ini.
Dan coba tebak, ini berhasil! Anda bisa menghitung berapa banyak remaja yang tidak merokok saat ini? Dengan mekanisme otak yang sama, remaja dengan mudah jatuh ke dalam jerat narkoba, obat terlarang dan tindakan bodoh lainnya. Peran orangtua dan guru seharusnya mencegah hal-hal seperti ini terjadi, yakni dengan memberikan perhatian dan penghargaan yang layak terhadap remaja. Remaja yang merasa diperhatikan dan dihargai akan lebih mudah diatur daripada yang tidak. Bagaimana menurut pendapat anda?
