- Cari kata kunci tertentu. Ada beberapa kata kunci yang menandakan bahwa sebuah bisnis itu MLM. Yang paling utama adalah sesuatu yang mengandung iming-iming, apakah itu pekerjaan mudah, gaji tinggi, kebebasan finansial, mobil mewah, kapal pesiar, liburan, dan lain-lain. Yang kedua adalah kata jaringan, bonus jaringan, atau apapun yang berbau jaringan. Arah dari bisnis itu adalah anda harus mencari orang untuk bergabung. Apapun topeng dan selimut yang digunakan, sudah pasti bisnis semacam itu adalah MLM.
- Cermati produknya dengan baik. Pertama, apakah ada produknya atau tidak. Ingat, membership/keanggotaan itu bukan produk. Jika hanya keanggotaan saja yang dijual, maka bisnis itu lebih parah dari MLM, itu money game. Kedua, jika produknya ada, periksa detail produknya. Mayoritas MLM menjual produknya dengan kalimat-kalimat yang dahsyat. Contohnya menyembuhkan 1001 penyakit, membuat perkasa layaknya Bima dan sebagainya. Semua bertujuan supaya ada orang yang mau membelinya dengan harga yang mahal. Tidak jarang sebenarnya produk itu hanya rebranding produk yang sudah ada di pasaran.
Rasanya cukup tiga hal diatas dulu, mungkin lain waktu akan kami bahas lebih banyak lagi. Artikel ini bukan untuk menjelek-jelekkan MLM, namun hanya memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat.
