Custom ROM Lenovo A706 Armani Selain MIUI v5
Sebelumnya saya sudah menulis artikel tentang kekurangan dari MIUI v5 di Lenovo A706. Disitu saya menjelaskan bahwa ternyata MIUI tidak sebagus yang saya kira, setidaknya begitulah di ponsel saya.
Maka dari itu saya memutuskan untuk tidak lagi menggunakan MIUI. Hanya saja saat itu pilihan yang saya tahu hanya stock ROM saja. Download stock ROM akan memakan waktu karena ukurannya yang super besar, lebih dari 1GB. Luar biasa, kan? Pada akhirnya saya searching di Google untuk mencari apa ada custom ROM lain untuk Lenovo A706. Ketemulah sebuah situs yang berbahasa Vietnam.

Pasti pada mikir gimana caranya saya bisa mengerti bahasa Vietnam, kan? Ah, jangan seperti Nugroho dong! Hari gini itu sudah ada Google Translate. Bingung copy paste tiap paragraf? Copy saja URL nya ke box Google Translate lalu klik tautan yang dihasilkan. Jangan lupa pilih bahasanya dulu ke bahasa Inggris. Hasil terjemahannya lebih bagus ke bahasa Inggris. Hari gini ga ngerti bahasa Inggris? Ya sudah, hilanglah kesempatan anda menambah ilmu. Jyah, kok jadi tutorial Google Translate, sih!
Oke, balik lagi ke custom ROM. Nah, dari forum berbahasa Vietnam itulah saya mendapatkan pilihan custom ROM untuk Lenovo A706. Berikut adalah beberapa custom ROM tersebut:

Pada dasarnya Lewa OS ini sangat mirip dengan MIUI. Hanya saja memiliki tema dan fitur yang sedikit berbeda. Kebetulan saya sudah mengamankan Lewa OS ini untuk saya gunakan di Lenovo A706 saya. Pengalaman install ROM ini akan saya tuliskan dalam postingan tersendiri. Sementara silahkan menikmati screenshot dulu.

Ini adalah custom ROM Lenovo A706 yang saya berbasis stock ROM. Saya tidak terlalu suka, tapi jika anda memang mau mencoba, silahkan download saja. Yang pasti anda membutuhkan Google Translate untuk yang satu ini karena tempat downloadnya berbahasa Rusia. Itu tuh, negaranya si Masha. 🙂

HiMax Slim RED
Custom ROM Lenovo A706 ini berdasarkan ROM dari Himax Slim. Setahu saya, ponsel ini memiliki spesifikasi yang kurang lebih sama dengan Lenovo A706. Oleh karena itu dapat digunakan juga di Lenovo A706 dengan berbagai perubahan, tentunya. Pada awalnya saya berencana untuk mencoba ROM ini, namun saya kemudian lebih jatuh cinta dengan Lewa OS.

Nokia sudah mengeluarkan Nokia X pada 15 April 2014 lalu. Seperti yang kita tahu, Nokia X ini berbasis Android. Saya baru tahu bahwa custom ROM Lenovo A706 ini berbasis Nokia X yang asli. Berhubung saya kurang suka interface kotak-kotak ini, maka bisa dipastikan saya tidak akan mencoba ROM Nokia X untuk Lenovo A706 ini.

ROM ini kurang lebih mirip seperti QNeon, berbasiskan stock ROM. Hanya saja ROM ini adalah modifikasi dari juragan inunxelex, seorang putra Indonesia di XDA Forum. Modifikasinya lumayan banyak, diantaranya adalah penambahan Xperia Keyboard yang tidak bisa didownload dari Play Store secara langsung.
