Kekurangan ROM MIUI v5 di Lenovo A706 Armani
Dalam artikel yang lalu saya mengatakan bahwa telah mengganti stock ROM Lenovo A706 dengan MIUI v5. Seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, ternyata MIUI v5 untuk Lenovo A706 tidaklah sebagus penampilannya.

Entah saya yang tidak bisa mengoptimasi atau memang ada masalah dengan MIUI untuk A706, ada beberapa kesalahan dan kelemahan yang saya temui di MIUI. Setidaknya ada tiga yang saya alami, diantaranya:
Baterai di MIUI v5 jadi boros
Baterai saya dapat habis dalam waktu kurang dari setengah hari tanpa memakai aplikasi yang berat seperti game. Dalam 8-10 jam, baterai saya bisa ludes. Padahal ponsel dalam keadaan standby internet (syncing gmail, facebook messenger dan Whatsapp), hanya sesekali ada campur tangan dari saya. Padahal sebelumnya dengan menggunakan stock ROM, baterai bisa habis dalam waktu 15-18 jam dengan mode yang sama.
Aplikasi weather error di MIUI v5
Saya tertarik menggunakan aplikasi weather karena bisa membuat home screen menjadi lebih dinamis. Saya menampilkan weather menggunakan widget homescreen. Setelah tiga hari pemakaian, terjadi masalah koneksi saat saya sedang berada di Ngawi. Pesan kesalahan weather terus muncul, sampai membuat ponsel saya tidak bisa digunakan untuk hal lain kecuali menutup pesan kesalahan tersebut dan melakukan shutdown/restart. Pada akhirnya saya harus masuk ke recovery dan melakukan wipe cache dan wipe data. Ini artinya adalah “factory reset”.
MIUI v5 Tidak cocok untuk gamers
Tahu kan game Android berjudul Subway Survers? Dengan ROM MIUI v5 ini game jadi terasa lambat atau nge-lag. Game ini tidak terlalu berat saya kira, soalnya tablet Axioo Picopad GJT yang single core saja bisa menjalankannya dengan baik. Tentu harusnya tidak ada masalah dengan Lenovo A706 yang Quad-core, kan? Sudah tentu masalah ada para MIUI v5 ini. Soalnya menggunakan stock ROM bisa berjalan lancar dan aman-aman saja.
Aplikasi SMS error jika tidak login Mi Cloud
Hal ini saya temui saat pertama kali menggunakan MIUI. Saya tidak login ke Mi Cloud, layanan cloud dari MIUI, dan ternyata SMS yang saya kirimkan tidak sampai, padahal sudah ditandai terkirim. Selain itu juga sms yang dikirim ke saya tidak bisa terlihat, padahal jelas sudah terkirim. Problem ini akhirnya terselesaikan dengan factory reset dan saya harus membuat akun Mi Cloud. Sebuah kebetulan, kan? Bisa jadi tidak.
Demikian beberapa kelemahan dari ROM MIUI yang saya temui di Lenovo A706. Meskipun begitu tidak ada salahnya anda mencoba ROM ini. Uniknya Android adalah masalah yang terjadi pada satu orang, belum tentu jadi masalah bagi orang lain. Cobalah keberuntungan anda. Jika memang tidak beruntung seperti saya, anda bisa mencoba ROM yang lain seperti saya. Gratis! 🙂

Bisa kok, tapi perlu TWRP v2.5 untuk melakukannya.
