Custom ROM Kitkat 4.4 untuk Lenovo A706
Belakangan ini ada banyak yang mencari ROM Kitkat untuk Lenovo A706. Apakah sudah ada? Ternyata ROM Kitkat sudah ada untuk Lenovo A706. Ingin tahu? Ini dia!
Memang ROM Kitkat untuk Lenovo A706 ini bukan original dari Lenovo. Custom ROM ini buatan seseorang dari Rusia, berbasiskan Cyanogenmod versi 11 (CM11). Tetapi sebelum memasang custom ROM ini, saya peringatkan setidaknya ada dua hal yang tidak bekerja, yakni kamera dan FM radio.

Download ROM Lenovo A706 Kitkat 4.4.2
Cara install-nya sama seperti custom ROM yang lain. Yakni menggunakan CWM sebagai media flasher-nya. Teknik yang biasa saya pake sebagai berikut:
- Copy file custom ROM Lenovo A706 yang telah diunduh dari tombol diatas ke dalam storage internal.
- Masuk ke CWM menggunakan metode ADB seperti yang saya bahas dalam cara rooting Lenovo A706.
- Pilih menu Install zip from sdcard, lalu pilih file custom rom yang telah dicopy tadi.
Proses instalasi akan berjalan. Untuk yang menggunakan CWM dari paket root diatas, mungkin akan bergoyang-goyang layarnya, namun itu tidak masalah. Setelah sukses pasti akan masuk kembali ke menu utama. Jangan lupa untuk melakukan wipe data/factory reset. Lalu pilih menu Reboot device dan voila! Lenovo A706 kamu akan reboot ke Kitkat untuk pertama kalinya.
Apakah saya memakai ROM Kitkat CM11 ini?
Tentu saja jawabannya tidak. Alasannya adalah bug yang dimiliki adalah kamera. Saya suka memfoto sesuatu, jadi apalah artinya ponsel saya jika tanpa kamera. Tetapi tenang saja, ada beberapa pihak yang terus mencoba untuk membuat custom rom ini menjadi sempurna.
Saya sarankan jika ingin mencoba, backup dulu ponsel kamu. Supaya jika nanti kamu tidak puas, bisa kembali ke custom rom atau stock rom sebelumnya tanpa kehilangan data. Saya biasa menggunakan Titanium Backup hanya untuk aplikasi-aplikasi saja, terutama game Candy Crush yang sudah sampai level 269.
