Trik Selebaran MLM, Modus Lama Bersemi Kembali
Saat berhenti di lampu merah, saya sering mendapatkan brosur atau selebaran. Tidak seperti orang kebanyakan yang langsung saja dibuang, saya pasti mengantonginya. Selain tidak ingin membuang sampah sembarangan, setidaknya menghargai si pemberi yang sudah susah payah dibawah terik mentari. 🙂
Salah satu brosur MLM di lampu merah.
Diatas adalah selebaran yang saya dapatkan beberapa hari lalu di perempatan jalan Kaliurang – Ringroad Utara Yogyakarta. Selebaran diatas sebenarnya bolak-balik, ukuran seperenam kertas folio. Kontradiksi dengan muatan isinya? Tentu saja. Bagaimana mungkin bisnis yang katanya memiliki omset 50 juta per bulan di tiap cabangnya membuat penawaran dengan selebaran murah?
Selebaran MLM, sebuah modus lama yang muncul kembali
Sebenarnya cukup mudah mengenali sebuah selebaran itu penawaran MLM atau bukan. Hanya dengan melihat sepintas saja pasti bisa dikenali. Ini adalah modus lama yang dimunculkan kembali. Mungkin juga modus ini tidak pernah mati karena pemainnya berganti-ganti. Ciri-ciri selebaran MLM adalah:
- Tidak secara jelas mencantumkan apa perusahaannya. Itu adalah salah satu trik MLM untuk menjerat anda masuk ke dalamnya. Itulah bukti bahwa pemain MLM tahu bahwa jika mereka jujur menyebut perusahaannya, maka tidak akan ada orang yang memperhatikan brosur tersebut. Tentu saja ini adalah awal yang tidak baik, entah apa lagi yang mereka sembunyikan dari anda nantinya.
- Iming-iming gaji besar, bekerja dari rumah. There is no free lunch, itu kata orang di desa kakek saya. Kalau mau kaya atau mendapatkan gaji besar, usahanya harus besar. Tidak ada itu yang namanya “dapat duit dari rumah” secara instan. Kalaupun anda sukses di MLM, “tebusannya” juga besar.
- Ada “training” atau “seminar” untuk menjadikan anda seorang pengusaha yang sukses dengan bekerja dari rumah. Ada yang gratis, ada pula yang berbayar, dimana biaya keanggotaan terkadang dimasukkan ke dalamnya. Seringkali pada “”training” berbayar, anda sudah menjadi anggota MLM, bahkan saat anda belum menyadarinya.
Secara garis besar, tiga hal itu pasti ada dalam setiap selebaran MLM. Mungkin warna dan kata-katanya bisa beda, bentuk font bisa lain, tapi konsepnya tetap sama. Satu-satunya yang tidak ada dalam selebaran itu adalah kejujuran.
Selebaran ini minus kejujuran? Bagaimana bisa?
Tentu saja saya tidak berani bicara jika tidak ada buktinya. Paling tidak dari pencarian saya di internet, kebohongan itu bisa dibuktikan. Coba buka: http://www.tokobagus.com/iklan/partner-usaha-rumah-sehat-cafe-nutrisi-28987551.html (sengaja tidak live link), hampir sama isinya dengan selebaran. Saya menggunakan nama kontak person dan menemukan halaman tersebut.
Ada sedikit perbedaan, di selebaran dijelaskan untuk mendapatkan pelatihan peserta harus membayar 80 ribu. Sedangkan di iklan Tokobagus peserta “hanya” dikenakan biaya 50 ribu. Sesuatu yang tidak konsisten, kan? Yang kedua adalah pernyataan: “bukan money game / MLM. usahanya jelas, ada legalitas, ada wujud usaha, ada tempat, dan penghasilan pasti” yang bisa ditemukan di iklan Tokobagus mengundang saya untuk semakin mencari tahu. Dan hasilnya adalah:
Hasil pencarian menunjukkan: Herbalife
Sesuai petunjuk di selebaran maupun iklan Tokobagus, “perusahaan nutrisi” ini sudah berdiri sejak 1980 di 89 negara. Maka saya menggunakan itu sebagai kata kunci pencarian. Banyak hasilnya, namun semuanya sama-sama merujuk pada Herbalife, sebuah perusahaan “shake nutrisi” yang menggunakan MLM sebagai jalan pemasarannya. Nah, kalau si pengiklan bilang itu bukan MLM, sudah jelas kan kebohongannya?
